'I believe in the power of courage and self-determination. Too often we get stuck in the 'Problem'. With support, information, exploration and encouragement each of us can begin to live in the 'Solution'. My experience as a Social Worker has allowed me to see lives change. We all have dark days and, we can find a place of 'reasonable contentedness' and peace.'
Peace ~ Denise

Tanja has met all the standards for qualification and certification by the Academy of Certified Social Workers. Tanja discovered her passion for social work at age 15 when she volunteered through her youth group at hospitals, homeless shelters, and soup kitchens. Tanja started her career working with the developmentally disabled. Because of her personal connection with Autism, Tanja is passionate about helping young adults with both autism and schizophrenia to learn how to live their lives to their fullest potential. Tanja's work experience includes providing services to individuals living in supervised housing, training in suicide prevention, program development and implementation for GenPsych PHP and IOP, and Program Coordinator for the Adolescent Program at GenPsych in Livingston. Additionally, Tanja has supervised several new clinicians through college internships and into their full licensure. Tanja has worked with multidisciplinary teams and believes in continuity of care through communication with other mental health providers. Tanja enjoys working with young adults, and all of us who are fully ‘adulting’ in life. DBT Infused Group Facilitator
I work as an integrative psychotherapist. Each individual I work with is unique and I believe there is not a one size fits all approach. I meet the individual where they are in the present moment and work from there. I believe that the ability to reach a sense of calm, satisfaction, and peace within oneself is attainable. I am experienced in person centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. The underlying principles of the person centered approach are based on a foundation of empathy, unconditional positive regard and authenticity. This approach is very effective with many individuals. There are times when individuals thrive on a cognitive based approach, for example, when they struggle with negative thinking patterns. It is with these individuals that I incorporate dialectical behavioral and cognitive behavioral skills with much success.
Ann graduated with her Master’s in “Counseling Psychology'' from the College of Saint Elizabeth and has over ten years of experience in the field of mental health. 'At Insight, we recognize change is difficult. Providing a compassionate, warm, and safe space, fosters safety and manifests a spirit of change and personal growth.'
Toni earned a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Montclair State University and has earned the credentials as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Toni has experience with working with all age groups but has extensive experience working with children and teens that are facing challenges interfering with their ability to find healthy coping skills to develop and maintain healthy relationships. Providing a safe, nonjudgmental space encourages awareness and verbalization of feelings. Together, as a team, 'with your teen' work towards the development of healthy coping strategies to manage the numerous challenges that our young population is facing in today’s world.
Jennifer DecheneM. Ed., LAC

Intake & Assessment Coordinator
Licensed Associate Counselor
Jenn earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William Patterson University in 2021. She is currently working towards the credentials of her second career as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She spent almost a decade as an elementary and middle school music teacher in Northern Virginia. Having a connection with a person who actively listens and can empathize with your experience is an important piece of the therapeutic process. Throughout her transition from teacher to therapist, Jenn has found establishing this type of connection is something she is passionate about and is a skill that is crucial in both fields. She is passionate about working with children and teens in addition to adults. Therapy is great place to get support, challenge yourself in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment, and heal.
